Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 24319-B Steering Linkage and Tie Rod Puller. See Special Tools .

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

Remove the outer tie rod retaining nut (2).

Loosen the jam nut (2) on the inner tie rod (1).

Using J 24319-B remove the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle. See Special Tools .

Remove the outer tie rod (3) from the inner tie rod (1).
