Installation Procedure

  1. Using J 25033-C  install the power steering pulley to the power steering pump. See Special Tools .

  3. Ensure that the axial tolerance of the power steering pulley on the power steering pump is within 0.25 mm (0.010 in), plus or minus.
  4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  6. Install the surge tank (1) to the vehicle.
  7. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.
  8. Install the surge tank retaining bolt (3) and nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the surge tank retaining bolt (3) and nut (2) to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  10. Install the secondary AIR relay bracket to the mounting studs.
  11. Install the secondary AIR relay bracket retaining nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the secondary AIR relay bracket retaining nuts (2) to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
