Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE1, FE3) or Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE7) .
  3. Rotate the stabilizer shaft downward.
  4. Remove the electrical harness clip from the power steering gear heat shield.
  5. Remove power steering gear heat shield mounting bolts.
  6. Remove the power steering gear heat shield.
