Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pressure outlet hose (2) to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.
  3. Install the power steering pressure outlet hose (1) to the power steering gear.

    Tighten:  Tighten the power steering pressure outlet hose to the power steering gear to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.

  6. Install the power steering pressure outlet hose to the hydro boost unit.

    Tighten:  Tighten the power steering pressure outlet hose to the hydro boost unit to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  7. Position the master cylinder (2) to the hydro boost unit (1).
  8. Install the master cylinder retaining nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the master cylinder retaining nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  9. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
