Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle and support. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Pull down on the intermediate park brake cable (2) near the park brake cable connector (1).
  3. Remove the intermediate park brake cable (2) from the park brake cable connector (1).

  4. Disconnect the intermediate park brake cable (3) from the rear equalizer (1).
  5. Disconnect the intermediate park brake cable (3) from the right rear park brake cable (5).
  6. Using J 37043  disconnect the intermediate park brake cable housing from the rear park brake cable housing connector. See Special Tools .
  7. Remove the intermediate park brake cable.
