Circuit/System Testing

  1. Using a scan tool verify the Massage Switch parameter is Inactive.
    • If not Inactive, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the memory seat module.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the lumbar massage switch.
  3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the voltage supply circuit terminal C and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the supply voltage for an open/high resistance.
  4. Install a 3-amp fused jumper wire between the voltage supply circuit terminal C and the signal circuit terminal A. Verify the Massage Switch parameter is Active.
    • If not Active, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the memory seat module.
  5. If all circuits tests normal, replace the lumbar massage switch.
