Hose Replacement - Windshield Washer

Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Disconnect the washer hose at the passenger side windshield washer solvent heater assembly.
  3. Remove the surge tank fasteners and reposition the tank as necessary. DO NOT drain tank.
  4. Disconnect the washer hose retention clips from the inner right hand wheelhouse panel.
  5. Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  6. Remove the washer hose from the washer pump spout.
  7. Drain the washer solvent into a suitable container.
  8. Disconnect the hose from the washer container.
  9. Remove the washer hose from the large hole in behind the right front headlamp assembly.

3 Washer Solvent Container to Washer Solvent Heater Hose
Tip:  Ensure washer hose is re-routed properly to the washer solvent heater and secured at the 2 places on the inner wheelhouse.
4 Windshield Washer Container Hose
Tip:  Remove the washer hose from the large hole in behind the right front headlamp assembly.
