Installation Procedure

- Install the rear body mount.NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts securing the body mount.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 77 N.m (57 lb ft).
- Raise the support assembly.
- Install the two rear bolts securing the support assembly to the vehicle body.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 207 N.m (153 lb ft).
- Install the center support bracket bolts (1).
Tighten: Tighten the center support bracket bolts to 128 N.m (94 lb ft).
- Refer to Exhaust System Replacement .
- Install the tires and the wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
Tighten: Tighten the wheel nuts to 125 N.m (80 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Inspect and adjust the rear toe. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment (FE1, FE3) or Rear Toe Adjustment (FE7) .
