Removal Procedure

  1. Remove both of the fuel injector sight shields. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. If servicing the ignition coil assembly, perform the following steps, if servicing an individual ignition coil proceed to step 7.
  3. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (4) from the ignition coil assembly.

  4. Remove the fuel injector sight shield studs.

  5. Remove the ignition coil assembly bolts.
  6. Remove the ignition coil assembly.

  7. Disconnect the individual ignition coil electrical connector (3), as required.
  8. Remove the individual ignition coil bolt (1), as required.
  9. Remove the ignition coil (2), as required.
