Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe (2) quick connect fitting from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (1) from EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.

  4. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve bolt.
  5. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
