Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left valve rocker arms. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Replacement - Left Side .
    2. Fig 1: Locating Left Stationary Hydraulic Lash Adjusters (SHLA)

  2. Remove the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores.
  3. Clean and inspect the valve lifters. Refer to Valve Lifters Cleaning and Inspection .
