Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the J 28467-7A lift hook from the engine mount strut bracket.
  2. Remove the J 28467-B  .
  3. Remove the J 28467-501  . See Special Tools .

  4. Install the engine mount strut.
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the engine mount strut bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  6. Install the engine mount strut brace.
  7. Install the engine mount strut brace bolt and nut.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
    • Tighten the nut to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  8. Position the surge tank to the studs.
  9. Install the surge tank nuts and push pin retainer.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  10. Install the front compartment sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
  11. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
