Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Cadillac DTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Using the Failure Records data may help locate an intermittent condition. If you cannot duplicate the DTC, the information in the Failure Records can help determine how many miles since the DTC set. The Fail Counter and Pass Counter can help determine how many ignition cycles that the diagnostic test reported a pass and/or a fail.
  2. A possible cause of this DTC could be overcharging with a battery charger or jump starting.
  3. A low voltage DTC in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system.
  4. A high voltage value in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system.
