Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate window motor.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 2.0 ohms of resistance between the ground circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Test for 6.0-7.0 volts between the LIN circuit terminal 6 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the LIN circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the applicable door module.
- If less than the specified range, test the LIN circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the applicable door module.
- Ignition OFF, reconnect the harness connector at the window motor.
- Ignition ON, observe the appropriate scan tool Window Motor Fault Status parameter while raising and lower the window. The parameter should read No Fault.
- If the parameter reads Motor Fault, Hall Fault, Memory Fault, LIN Fault, Anti-Trap Fault or Thermo Active, test or replace the appropriate power window motor.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate door module.
Rear Window Switch Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the applicable rear door window switch.
- Ignition ON, test for B+ between the reference voltage circuit terminal 3 and ground.
- If less than the specified value, test the reference voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the appropriate door module.
- Ignition OFF, reconnect the harness connector at the rear door window switch. Disconnect the harness connector C2 at the appropriate door module.
- With the switch in the at-rest position, test for 8.0K - 9.0K ohms of resistance between the voltage reference circuit terminal 16 and the signal circuit terminal 14.
- If not within the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the appropriate rear door window switch.
- With the switch in the AUTO DOWN position, test for 2.75K - 3.75K ohms of resistance between the voltage reference circuit terminal 16 and the signal circuit terminal 14.
- If not within the specified range, test or replace the appropriate rear door window switch.
- With the switch in the DOWN position, test for 5.25K - 6.25K ohms of resistance between the voltage reference circuit terminal 16 and the signal circuit terminal 14.
- If not within the specified range, test or replace the appropriate rear door window switch.
- With the switch in the UP position, test for 1.9K - 2.9K ohms of resistance between the voltage reference circuit terminal 16 and the signal circuit terminal 14.
- If not within the specified range, test or replace the appropriate rear door window switch.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate door module.
