Transmission Case Assemble

Fig 1: Locating Shift Shaft Plugs In Transmission Front Case

If removed, apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the shift shaft plugs.
Using a suitable driver, install the shift shaft plugs into the transmission front case.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the backup lamp switch, with the gasket, into the transmission case.
Tighten: Tighten the backup lamp switch to 44 N.m (32 lb ft).
