Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

  4. Remove the bolt retaining the front door check link to the body.

  5. Remove the front door wiring harness grommet from the body by depressing the retaining tabs (1).

  6. Disconnect the front door wiring harness to main body harness connector.
  7. Disconnect the front door wiring harness connectors from all door hardware.
  8. Note the routing of the front door wiring harness and disconnect the harness retainers from the inner door panel.
  9. Remove the front door wiring harness grommet from the door.
  10. Remove the front door wiring harness from the front door.
