Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the transmission range selector cable to the bracket (2) and the lever. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Check the vehicle for proper operation. If adjustment of the cable is necessary, refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
