Installation Procedure

  1. Position the hood to the vehicle with an assistant.
  2. Partially install the 4 bolts that retain the hood to the hinges (3).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Position the hood to the hinges at the previously marked locations with an assistant.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hood retaining bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the hood insulation to the hood.
  5. Install the push-pin retainers (2).
  6. Install the front hood molding. Refer to Hood Front Molding Replacement (Envoy) or Hood Front Molding Replacement (Rainier) .
