Installation Procedure

  1. If installing a new seat adjuster assembly, install the seat position sensor that was removed from the original adjuster, to the new seat adjuster. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Seat Position Sensor Replacement .

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the 4 nuts that secure the seat pan to the power seat adjuster frame.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat pan mounting nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Front .

  4. Install the SIR harness to the harness clips (2) on the seat adjuster.
  5. Install the SIR harness connector (1) to the seat adjuster bracket.

  6. Install the seat belt buckle to the seat adjuster.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt buckle nut to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

  7. Install the lumbar support cable to the seat adjuster. Refer to Lumbar Support Cable Replacement .
  8. Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the front bucket seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  10. For the passenger seat, re-zero the passenger presence system. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup .
