Installation Procedure

  1. Position the seat onto the floor studs. The seat should be in the folded position.
  2. Install the 2 rear nuts (2). Do not tighten the nuts.
  3. Unfold the seat to ensure that the seat latch (1) properly engages the latch bar (3) on the floor.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the front 2 rear seat mounting nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the front rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  6. Fold the seat to the stowed position.
  7. Tighten the 2 rear seat mounting nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  8. Install the communication interface module if installing the right-hand rear seat. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) or Communication Interface Module Replacement (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Rainier) .
