Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the liftgate lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  4. Remove the license plate pocket wiring harness retainers from the liftgate.
  5. Disconnect the main license plate pocket electrical connector.
  6. Remove the nuts retaining the license plate pocket to the liftgate.
  7. Remove the license plate pocket from the liftgate.
