Installation Procedure

- Install the transmission oil cooler lines to the vehicle.
- Install the transmission cooler lines to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
- Connect the rear cooler lines (2) to the front cooler lines (1).
- Install the cooling line ends (3) to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
- Raise the transmission into position.
- Install the front exhaust pipe assembly. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LL8) or Catalytic Converter Replacement (LH6/LS2) .
- Install the transmission support. Refer to Transmission Support Replacement .
- Remove the transmission jack.
- Install the clip that holds the cooler lines together.
- Install the cooler lines to the retainer (2) located on the right side of the engine.
- Install the front sections of the cooler lines to the vehicle.
- Install the cooler lines to the retainer located on the radiator shroud.
- Connect the front and rear cooler lines at the quick connect fitting.
- Install the cooler lines (4, 5) to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON® VI transmission fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications .
