Removal & Installation (Passenger-side)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove glove box assembly. Disconnect passenger-side air bag assembly harness connector. Remove air bag assembly mounting bolts and nuts. Remove passenger-side air bag assembly. See Fig 1.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten passenger-side air bag mounting nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
