Circuit Description

When ignition is turned on, battery voltage is applied to AIR BAG warning light and Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) terminal No. 12 (Black/Red wire). SDM responds by flashing AIR BAG warning light 7 times. SDM monitors light driver output by comparing output state at SRS WARNING LIGHT terminal No. 7 (Green wire) to microprocessor commanded state. When ignition voltage is in specified value range and output state does not match commanded state of light driver for 500 milliseconds, DTC 61 is set.
