Rear Disc Brake Caliper: Installation

  1. Install clip. See Figure. Apply special grease (approximately 0.2 g) to both contacting surfaces of the inner shims. Wipe off extruded grease after installing. Install pad assembly with shim.
  2. Install support bracket and tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install caliper assembly.
  3. Install lock bolt and guide bolt and tighten bolt to specification. See Figure.
  4. Install brake flexible hose, always use NEW gaskets and be sure to put the hooked edge of the flexible hose end into the anti-rotation cavity then tighten the eye-bolt to the specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install rear wheels. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
