Parking Brake Rear Cable (2WD Model): Removal

1. Remove rear wheels and drums. See Fig 1. Remove bolts. Remove nuts (6). Remove nut (7) and retainer.
2. Remove rear brake shoe assemblies. See REAR DRUM BRAKE SHOES . Use offset box wrench (13 mm hex.) to compress the locking lugs on the cable, then remove the rear cable from the backing plate. See Fig 2.
