Front Disc Brake Pads: Installation
- Install clip. Apply special grease (approximately 0.2 g) to both contacting surfaces of the inner shims. See Fig 1. Wipe off extruded grease after installing. Install pad assembly with shim. Used pads must be installed to original position.
- Carefully use adjustable pliers to bottom the piston into the caliper bore. DO NOT pull or twist the flexible hose or damage will occur. Install the caliper assembly. Set the caliper assembly in place.
- Install the front caliper lock bolt and tighten the bolt to the specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front wheels. Pump the brake pedal several times to make sure that the pedal is firm. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir after pumping the brakes.
