Front Disc Brake Caliper: Installation

  1. Install clip. See Figure. Apply special grease (approximately 0.2 g) to both contacting surfaces of the inner shims. Wipe off extruded grease after installing. Install the pad assembly with shim.
  2. Install support bracket and tighten bolt to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install caliper assembly. Install front caliper lock bolt and tighten to specification.
  3. Install brake flexible hose, always use NEW gaskets and be sure to put the hooked edge of the flexible hose end into the anti-rotation cavity then tighten the eye-bolt to specification. Install wheels. Bleed hydraulic system. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
