Brake Pedal: Removal
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal cable, and wait at least 5 minutes. Disconnect the yellow 3-way SRS connector located under the steering column.
- Remove the engine hood opening lever. Remove lower cover. See Fig 1. Remove driver knee bolster.
- Disconnect the stop light switch connector. Disconnect the anti-theft control module connector. See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article.
- Remove snap pin and push rod pin. Remove the steering column shaft fixing bolt and nut on the steering wheel side, and lower the steering column shaft. Remove the brake pedal bracket assembly. Remove return spring. Remove fulcrum pin and nut. Remove pedal assembly.
