Oil Pressure Light Inoperative

NOTE: If other indicator lights are inoperative, check METER/GAUGE fuse. If fuse is okay, check instrument cluster connector I-9 terminal 15 for battery voltage.
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Disconnect oil pressure sending unit. If oil pressure light comes on, replace shorted oil pressure sending unit. If oil pressure light does not come on, go to next step.
  2. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Inspect for defective oil pressure light bulb. If bulb is defective, replace bulb. In bulb is okay, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect instrument cluster connector I-9. Check terminal No. 22 for short circuit to ground. If shorted, repair Light Blue wire to oil pressure sending unit.
