Models Without Traction On Demand (TOD) Indicator

  1. Disconnect oil pressure sending unit. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect a fused jumper wire between ground and oil pressure sending unit (Yellow/Green wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If oil pressure gauge reading varies, replace oil pressure sending unit. If oil pressure gauge readings do not vary, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect instrument panel connector I-10 and monitor oil pressure gauge. If oil pressure gauge reading varies, go to next step. If oil pressure gauge readings do not vary, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Repair short to ground in sending unit circuit (Yellow/Green wire at sending unit; Yellow/Black wire at instrument panel). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
