Oil Pressure Switch Test

Disconnect electrical connector from oil pressure switch (located above oil filter). Using DVOM, check continuity between oil pressure switch terminal and ground. With engine off, continuity should exist. With engine running, continuity should not exist. If switch fails to operate as described, check engine oil level and oil pressure. See OIL PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS  table. If oil level and oil pressure are okay, replace oil pressure switch.
