Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

  1. Turn ignition off. Shift transfer lever to neutral position (TOD indicator off). Ground terminal No. 8 of diagnostic link connector.
  2. Turn ignition on and depress brake pedal 5 times, within 5 seconds. TOD indicator will display 4L whenever brake pedal is depressed.
  3. Trouble codes are cleared from ECU. Code 12 should be continuously displayed, indicating system is operating normally.
