Removal & installation

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Lift and support vehicle above ground. Disconnect 2 heated oxygen sensor connectors from left front exhaust pipe. Remove left front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter to access starter.
  2. Remove starter heat shield and connectors. Remove starter bolts and drop starter toward bottom of engine. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten starter and exhaust bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
