Axle Shaft & Bearing: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Support differential assembly using jack stand. Remove wheel assembly. Remove caliper and wire aside. Remove brake rotor. Remove ABS harness connector and sensor. Remove parking brake assembly. Remove bearing holder bolts and nuts. Remove axle shaft. See Figure .
- Remove snap ring from axle shaft. Press bearing retainer and bearing from axle shaft. Remove bearing, bearing holder, backing plate and oil seal. Remove wheel pins (if necessary).
