Safety Stop Mechanism Does Not Operate Before Sun Roof Closes Completely
- Disconnect sun roof control unit connector S-5 and safety stop switch/limit switch connector. Use DVOM to check for continuity between sun roof control unit connector S-5 terminal No. 5 and safety stop switch/limit switch connector terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Red wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity is indicated, go to step 3). If continuity is not indicated, go to next step.
- Repair open in Yellow/Red wire between control unit and safety stop/limit switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Use DVOM and check for continuity between ground and safety stop/limit switch connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire). If continuity is indicated, replace safety stop/limit switch. See SAFETY STOP/LIMIT SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Repair open in Black wire between safety stop/limit switch and ground. After repairs, recheck system operation.
