Rear Wiper Does Not Park: Trooper

  1. Disconnect rear wiper motor. Connect a fused jumper wire between battery voltage and rear wiper motor terminal No. 2 (Blue/Red wire). Connect jumper wire between ground and rear wiper motor terminal No. 4 (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See Figure. While motor is operating, change battery voltage jumper wire from terminal No. 2 to terminal No. 3. Connect a jumper wire between rear wiper motor terminals No. 1 and 2. Rear wiper motor should stop in PARK position. If rear wiper stops in PARK position, go to next step. If rear wiper motor does not stop, replace rear wiper motor.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and rear wiper motor connector terminal No. 3 (Blue/Black wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to step 4). If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
  3. Repair open Blue/Black wire between rear wiper motor and dash fuse box. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, go to step 2).
  4. Disconnect alarm and relay control unit 20-pin connector (B-7). Use DVOM and check for continuity between alarm and relay control unit 20-pin connector terminal No. 2 and rear wiper motor connector terminal No. 1 (Light Green/Blue wire). If continuity is indicated, replace the alarm and relay control unit. If continuity is not indicated, go to next step.
  5. Repair open Light Green/Blue wire between alarm and relay control unit and rear wiper motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
