Front Wipers Do Not Park: Hombre
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Rotate wiper switch to OFF position. Disconnect wiper/washer switch connector. If wipers go to park position, go to next step. If wipers do not return to park position, go to step 3).
- Replace wiper/washer switch. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Use DVOM to measure voltage between ground and wiper/washer switch connector terminal E8 (Dark Green wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If reading is greater than one volt, go to next step. If reading is less than one volt, go to step 7).
- Reconnect wiper/washer switch connector. Disconnect wiper motor assembly connector. Use DVOM to measure voltage between ground and wiper motor assembly connector terminal "A" (Dark Green wire). See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If reading is greater than one volt, go to next step. If reading is less than one volt, go to step 6).
- Repair short to battery voltage in Dark green wire between wiper/washer switch and wiper motor assembly. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Replace wiper motor circuit board. See WIPER MOTOR CIRCUIT BOARD under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and wiper/washer switch connector terminal E5 (Gray wire). If reading is greater than one volt, go to next step. If reading is less than one volt, go to step 6).
- Reconnect wiper/washer switch connector.
- Repair short to battery voltage in Gray wire between wiper/washer switch and wiper motor assembly. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
