Removal & Installation (Trooper)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove panel from left rear door. Note position of wiper arm on rear window for installation reference. Remove wiper arm cap and wiper arm nut. Remove wiper arm. Remove nut, washer and rubber seal from wiper motor.
- Disconnect electrical connector from wiper motor. Remove retaining bolts and wiper motor. Verify that wiper motor is in PARK position. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust wiper arm. See REAR WIPER ARM ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten wiper arm nut to 78 INCH lbs. (9 N.m). Tighten wiper motor shaft nut to 52 INCH lbs. (6 N.m).
