Removal & Installation (Hombre)
- Ensure lever is in centered (Off) position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove steering column upper and lower covers. and any necessary trim panels.
- Remove wiring harness retaining straps. Disconnect multifunction switch Gray and Black connectors. Remove multifunction switch mounting bolts, and remove switch from steering column.
- Install multifunction switch to column, using a small screwdriver to compress electrical contact while moving switch into position. Ensure electrical contact of switch is resting on canceling cam assembly. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
