Passenger Window Inoperative From Passenger's Switch: Hombre
- Remove passenger's door lock and side window switch. DO NOT disconnect electrical connectors. Use test light and backprobe between ground and passenger's door lock and side window switch connector C2 terminal "F" (Dark Green wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Turn ignition switch to ON position. If test light comes on, go to step 3). If test light does not come on, go to next step.
- Repair open in Dark Green wire between BBEC and passenger's door lock and side window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Use test light and backprobe between ground and passenger's door lock and side window switch connector C1 terminal "G" (Light Blue wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Depress passenger's window switch to up and down positions. If test light comes on in both positions, go to step 5). If test light does not come on in both directions, go to next step.
- Replace passenger's door lock and side window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacement, recheck system operation.
- Use test light and backprobe between ground and passenger's door lock and side window switch connector C1 terminal "K" (Brown wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Depress passenger's window switch to up and down positions. If test light comes on in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not come on in both directions, go to step 4).
- Check for open in Dark Blue wire between switch and power window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuit is okay, replace passenger's power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacement, recheck system operation.
