Removal & Installation (Hombre)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove tilt lever (if equipped) and upper/lower steering column covers. See Figure. Lower steering column or remove steering column from vehicle. If removing, see STEERING COLUMN .
- Hold ignition in START position. Using a 1/16" Allen wrench, depress lock cylinder retaining pin through access hole of lock module assembly. Release key to ON position and remove lock cylinder from lock module assembly.
- Install lock cylinder in ON position, to align lock cylinder with lock module assembly. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
