Ensure gear shift lever is in Park. Turn lock cylinder to OFF-LOCK position and remove key. Using Park Lock Cable Pliers (J-41396), unlock adjuster ring on cable assembly. Pull on cable until park lock latch contacts gear shift lever. See Figure. Release cable. Using park lock cable pliers, lock adjuster ring securely in place.
