Passenger's Power Seat Inoperative

  1. Disconnect passenger's power seat switch connector T-9. Use DVOM to measure voltage between ground and passenger's power seat switch connector T-9 terminal No. 1 (Red wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is indicated, go to step 3). If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
  2. Repair open in Red wire between dash fuse box and passenger's power seat switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . After repairs, recheck system operation.
  3. Use a DVOM to continuity between ground and passenger's power seat switch connector T-9 terminal No. 2 (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If continuity is indicated, replace passenger's power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If continuity is not indicated, go to next step.
  4. Repair open in Black wire between passenger's power seat switch and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . After repairs, recheck system operation.
