Driver Or Passenger Seat Heater Inoperative
- Disconnect suspect seat heater switch connector. Use DVOM to measure voltage between ground and seat heater switch connector terminal No. 2 (Green/Red wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Turn ignition switch to ON position. If battery voltage is indicated, go to step 3). If battery voltage is not indicated, go to next step.
- Repair open in Green/Red wire between dash fuse box and suspect seat heater switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Disconnect suspect seat heater connector located under corresponding seat. Connect fused jumper wire between seat heater (seat side) connector terminal No. 1 (White wire, seat cushion) or No. 3 (White/Red wire, seatback). Connect jumper wire between ground and seat heater (seat side) connector terminal No. 4 (White/Black wire). If tested seat heater warms up, go to next step. If tested seat heater does not warm up, replace suspect seat heater unit. See HEATED SEAT UNIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Repair open in Black wire between suspect seat heater and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
