Amigo & Rodeo

  1. Verify operation of door locks with driver's door lock switch. If doors lock/unlock properly, go to next step. If doors do not lock/unlock properly, go to ALL DOORS DO NOT LOCK/UNLOCK USING DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK SWITCH .
  2. Disconnect passenger's door key switch. Use DVOM and measure voltage between ground and passenger's door key switch connector terminals No. 1 (Blue/Yellow wire) or No. 4 (Light Green/Red wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, repair poor connection or open in Blue/Yellow wire or Light Green/Red wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. Use DVOM and check for continuity of passenger's door key switch in lock and unlock positions. Replace switch if necessary. See DOOR KEY SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If switch tests okay, go to next step.
  4. Repair ground connection for passenger's door lock key switch. Recheck system operation.
