Removal & Installation (Hombre)

  1. Remove driver's side air bag. See DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG. Disconnect horn lead. Remove steering wheel nut. Remove horn plunger contact.
  2. Ensure wheels are in straight-ahead position. Mark steering wheel and shaft for installation reference. Using Puller (J-1859-A and J-42578), pull steering wheel from shaft. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten steering wheel nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
