Removal & Installation (Amigo, Rodeo & Trooper)

  1. Ensure wheels are in straight-ahead position. Remove driver's side air bag. See DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG. Disconnect horn lead. Remove steering wheel nut.
  2. Mark steering wheel and shaft for installation reference. Using Puller (J-29752), pull steering wheel from shaft. Feed wiring through wheel and remove steering wheel. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten steering wheel nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
