Removal & Installation (Amigo, Rodeo & Trooper)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels. Disconnect hydraulic flex hose from caliper, and plug openings. Remove caliper-to-support bracket bolts and remove caliper.
  2. Replace disc pads and resurface (or replace) rotor as necessary. Inspect caliper for leakage and repair as necessary. To install, apply Silicone grease to caliper sliding surfaces. Install caliper onto support bracket. Install caliper lock bolts and tighten to 54 ft. lbs. (74 N.m).
  3. Using NEW gaskets, install hydraulic flex hose to caliper with hooked edge of flex hose in hole to prevent rotation. Hose must not contact moving or vibrating parts. Install wheels. Bleed hydraulic system.
