Impulse & Stylus

  1. Place transaxle in Neutral. Rotate gearshift cable adjusting nuts until gearshift is at right angle to case when viewed from side. See Fig 1 . Gearshift should be in a vertical position and not slanted.
  2. Rotate select cable adjusting nuts until shift lever is at right angle to case when viewed from rear of case. After shift lever is properly positioned, tighten all adjusting nuts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 N.m).
